McConnell Tabernacle celebrates Christmas

McCONNELL — McConnell Tabernacle observed their annual Christmas Dinner on December 7, 2013 in the fellowship hall.

The fellowship hall was decorated in traditional Christmas colors using red tablecloths, green glittered garland with red satin ornaments, white choir figurines and red poinsettias. A soft glow from tea lights provided a warm setting.

The side table featured a white nativity scene, red poinsettia and a Bible opened to Luke 2 - “The Christmas Story of Jesus”

Members and guests brought favorite holiday foods and desserts.

Those attending were Pastor Keith and Anita McClung; Clara Maynard; Barbara Harrison; Marshall Browning; Gene and Kenya Harrison; Cindy McClung; Kathy Keyser; Richard Clevenger; Nancy Wolfe; Guy Burgess; Chadyn Maynard; Ardith Epperhart; Josie Curry; Nathan and Preston Curry; Larry and Sheila Bledsoe; Rick and Rema Hendricks; Bobbie Staumbaugh; Kenneth, Cindy and Kayla Maynard; Muri, Tammy and Hannah Thompson Yien; Elijah and Chloe Murphy; Tony Dardi; Carolyn Kelly; Bobbie Robinette; Becky Robinette Melcher; Mary Conner; Donna Vaughn; Phyllis Henderson; Harlan and Joan Podunavac and Eugene Hensley.

Door prizes were awarded to Rose Hensley, Clara Maynard, Hannah Thompson, Joan Podunavac, Preston Curry, Nancy Wolfe, Chloe Murphy and Larry Bledsoe and Christmas favors were received by all attending.
