The Recovery Group of Southern West Virginia is a community-based program of Logan Empowerment Action and Development (LEAD), which has a vision of having Sober Living homes, long-term recovery facilities and homeless shelters throughout southern West Virginia. The organization is dedicated to bringing the message and reality of hope, healing and life restoration to those who are suffering from addiction in Southern West Virginia.
This community-based group is offering faith based recovery programs, which uses the wisdom of those who have walked the road from addiction to freedom to help others who find themselves in slavery to something that has taken control of their lives. The program is a 12-step, Christ-centered program for anyone suffering from addiction of any kind, depression, anger, etc., or for anyone who has loved ones suffering and they want to become better informed and able to help.
“Stepping into Freedom” recovery classes are held every Monday at 7 p.m., at the First Baptist Fellowship Hall in downtown Logan across the street from the Day Report Center. Please contact Pete Browning for more information. Pete can be reached by e-mail at firstname.lastname@example.org, or by phone at 304-239-6163.
The Recovery Group has an independent board of directors, monitored by and accountable to LEAD’s board of directors, and all donations are received through LEAD, which is a recognized 5013c non-profit organization.
The group is working hard to raise funds to open the first Sober Living home and are accepting donations, which are tax deductible.
