It was an easy one for the Logan High School girls’ basketball team, which routed Tolsia 88-57 at Logan’s Willie Akers Arena on a bitterly cold night on Tuesday.
Kyra Cline netted 16 points to lead Logan (10-4).
Jordan Presley tallied a game-high 22 points for Tolsia while Savannah Winnett added 14.
No further details were available on the game.
The Lady Cats played their first game in eight days. Logan last played on Jan. 20 with a 74-60 victory at Winfield.
Logan’s game last week at Westside was postponed due to weather.
LHS is slated to go to Class AAA Morgantown on Friday night before hosting Class AA No. 1 Westside on Feb. 3. The Lady Cats then host 3A Greenbrier East on Feb. 10.
SETH — Kristin DesRocher made history for the Chapmanville Regional High School girls’ basketball team on Tuesday night as she reached 1,000 points for her career in the Lady Tigers’ 58-42 win on the road at Single-A Sherman.
DesRocher, a senior guard, led Chapmanville with 12 points. Shain Meeks added 11.
The Lady Tigers improved to 10-5 on the season with the win.
Chapmanville is scheduled to host Poca on Thursday night in Cardinal Conference play. CRHS then goes to Scott on Feb. 10 in another conference game before going to Tug Valley on Feb. 10 in a non-league game.
The Lady Tigers then have three games left to close out the regular season — Feb. 12 at home against Herbert Hoover, Feb. 13 at home against Mingo Central and Feb. 18 at Sissonville. All are conference games.
Kara Davis scored 14 points and Kendra Pannell recorded 12 points and 13 rebounds to lead the Tide (3-6).
