The Logan County Autism Association (LCAA) is planning to hold its 4th Annual Logan County Autism Walk. This year’s event to be held Saturday, April 26, 2014, at Chief Logan State Park.

The walk gives families affected by autism an opportunity to spend a day together, gives them access to resources and helps raise awareness of Autism Spectrum Disorders.

This year’s walk will have a Superhero theme and Heroes 4 Higher, of Huntington, will be there.

Every year more people and organizations come to enjoy the walk, entertainment and resources provided. Nearly 300 participated in the 2013 walk at Chief Logan State Park.

The LCAA provides assistance and support to families throughout the year. They offer resource workshops, communication training and family friendly events for everyone to enjoy. The funds raised by the annual walk help fund the programs and projects offered year round.

Sponsorships are available and offer the opportunity for individuals or organizations to make a difference. There is also a need for donations of gifts for door prizes. In addition, a donation of any amount will be greatly appreciated.

Everyone is invited to attend the walk. Registration will begin at 10 a.m., and the ribbon cutting will be at 12 p.m.
