MAN — Tug Valley was no match for Madison Keffer and the Man High School softball team on Wednesday night at the Man Softball Complex.

Keffer tossed a no-hitter as the Lady Billies shut out Tug Valley 10-0 in a game between Class A sectional teams.

The game was stopped after three innings due to the mercy rule.

Keffer, a right-hander, struck out six batters out of the nine she faced.

The only Tug Valley base runner reached on a hit by pitch by Keffer.

The Lady Billies (4-2) scored six runs in the bottom of the first inning and added four more in the home half of the second. Man didn’t have to bat in the third as the game was already called.

Leading the way for the Lady Billies was Hannah Harvey with a single and double.

Freshman Grace Cline hit a triple, while seniors Casey Albright and Elizabeth Dickerson both ripped doubles.

Hunter Harvey, Kelli Grimmett, Sidney Keffer, Cari Blair and Keffer all had singles for Man.

The Lady Billies have won three out of their last four games and are scheduled to return to action this weekend in the Chapmanville Lady Tigers Invitational Tournament.

Man was slated to see tourney play on Thursday night against Class AA Scott. Then on Friday, Man is set to play Richwood at 7 p.m. Man returns to Chapmanville on Saturday to face 2A Poca at 1 p.m.

The Lady Billies are then scheduled to host 3A county rival Logan on Monday at 5:30 p.m. Man then hosts Charleston Catholic on April 9 and Sherman on April 10 in a pair of 5:30 p.m. contests.
