MAN — Members of START arriving for their meeting held Thurs., March 27, 2014, at Bruce McDonald Memorial United Methodist Church saw that the Easter Bunny had made any early stop. Tables were covered in pastel colors of pink, green, yellow, lavender and blue with Easter Baskets filled with colorful eggs. Decorative garland down the center of each table twined about statues of Easter bunnies.
A traditional Easter feast was enjoyed by all, including pastel colored deviled eggs, and a decorated cake by the resident baker, Zettie Brown. Those in attendance celebrating birthdays in March were Lessie Bailey, Mae Osborne and Peggy Mosley.
Following the meal, minutes were read from Barbara Brunty, and a treasurer’s report given by Alice Harrison.
Elizabeth Tackett, Librarian of Buffalo Creek Memorial Library, invited all to participate in the “Man on the Move Walk” that was held in South Man on April 12. Members were invited to Maundy Thursday and Good Friday services at Bruce McDonald Memorial United Methodist Church during Holy Week.
Three door prizes were awarded.
