Early voting coming to a close

The 10 day Early Voting period for the 2014 Primary Election is rapidly coming to an end with only today,May 9, and tomorrow, May 10, left to participate.


The Logan County Courthouse will be open for early voting today from 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. with an hour lunch break from noon-1 p.m. and on Saturday from 9 a.m-5 p.m. with no lunch break.


Early voting has been a popular option for Logan Countians since its implementation for the 2002 Primary. In the 2012 election, 1,927 votes were cast during the early voting period. However, only 471 people have cast early votes up to this point.


Primary Election Day in West Virginia is Tuesday, May 13. Polls will be open that day from 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.
