Yacomino graduates in Columbus

COLUMBUS, Ohio — Louis Taylor Yacomino, son of Louis and Terri Lawson Yacomino of Columbus, Ohio, recently graduated from Fairfield Career Center and Groveport Madison High School in Columbus.

Louis Taylor was selected from the entire student body to give the Senior Reflections speech at graduation on May 29, at Fairfield Career Center. Louis Taylor was recognized for his outstanding work in the HVACR (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning & Refrigeration) program by being named Head of the Class for the 2013-2014 school year. He also received the American Citizenship Award, Superior Attendance Award, and participated in the 2014 SkillsUSA state competition.

He was a member of the freshman football team, varsity football team, student leadership council, and student representative to the Superintendent of Schools, Bonnie Hopkins. He was selected to represent his school at the Continuous Improvement Planning Meeting held with Assistant Superintendent of Schools Caroline Davis. He was also responsible for assisting city, county and state dignitaries during their visits to Fairfield Career Center.

Louis Taylor has been accepted into a five year apprenticeship program with General Temperature Control, Plumbers and Pipefitters Local Union 189 in Canal Winchester, Ohio.

Louis Taylor is the grandson of Montie and Eloise Taylor Messer of Logan, Johnny Yacomino Sr. of Holden, and Nora Yacomino of Columbus.
