The recent stretch of frigid weather has produced a relatively rare sight along the Guyandotte River — ice. A swath of ice on the Guyandotte River along the Logan Boulevard looks to be almost completely frozen from bank to bank. Ice floes were also a common site on Wednesday morning following temperatures of below zero in the area. A warm up is coming Saturday with temperatures forecasted to be in the 50s.
