Thursday, April 10, a special signing ceremony was held to highlight the Logan County Commission’s proclamation for April as Child Abuse Awareness Month.

Several community representatives were present as Commission President Danny Godby signed the proclamation: “children are vital to our future, all children deserve a safe and stable home and communities that foster their well-being and effective child abuse prevention strategies succeed because of partnerships created among citizens, human service agencies, schools, faith communities, health-care providers, civil organizations, law enforcement and business communities.”

Several activities, including Children’s Memorial Flag ceremonies, take place throughout Logan County each year during April for National Child Abuse Prevention and Awareness month.
