A night of faith, hope and love to benefit six children who suffer from cancer is set for 7 p.m., Saturday, September 21, 2013, at Southern West Virginia Community and Technical College.

Gabe Lyall, Austin Bryant, Skyler Miller, Gabe Ferrell, Ben Gillmann and Jenna Deskins are all battling cancer.Their families are all facing overwhelming financial burdens that go along with the needs associated with the medical treatments and care for their children.

Evangelist Steven Duty, who also faces a battle with gastropareis, which is a dibilitating disease of the stomach that has had him in the hospital for more than 300 days the past year, wanted to help support these children and came up with the idea of the Benefit Crusade during his latest hospital stay.

“I have been blessed to preach and have gospel meetings all over the country and now I volunteer as a chaplain at Logan Regional Medical Center. I think of this as another way to give back to the community and support these families,” said Duty.

Duty will speak, giving a special message and testimony on Saturday at 7 p.m. There will be special singing and performances by Change of Heart, Krista Brown-Trogdon, Cody “Dizz” Dickerson and Awaken Drama Team.

A love offering will be collected at the event to support the families. Donations and prayer requests may be made online at dutyinternational.org. For more information, call 304-687-7916.
