A large crowd gathered in Museum in the Park in celebration of the 20th anniversary of Christmas in the Park. The program included musical selections by Kaitlin Boytek, prayers by Rev. Glenn White and Rev. George Kostas, and featured speaker, Gov. Earl Ray Tomblin. The family of the late Tom Rose Tomblin, who is credited with beginning Christmas in the Park, was presented a plague in dedication of his memory by Gov. Tomblin. Pictured are, from left, Tom, Tim, Ted and Jackie Tomblin and Gov. Tomblin.
