Lou’s Kountry Kitchen in downtown Harlan closed on Monday. Owner Linda Farmer said she has now joined forces with Harlan Station where she will work as a consultant.
“I closed my doors at Lou’s Kountry Kitchen for the final time on Monday,” said Farmer. “It’s been a tough year in 2013, but I’m looking for better times in 2014 as I continue working with the Harlan Station restaurant.”
Farmer said during the year, she began closing the restaurant on the weekends and then found economically she would have to close the business permanently.
“We were open for four years downtown and made some wonderful memories there,” said Farmer. “I really appreciate all my loyal customers for their support during that time. It’s always sad when one door closes, but another door has opened and I invite all my customers to stop by the Harlan Station and see me.”
Farmer said catering and home/business delivery is still available at the Harlan Station. She added the menu at the Harlan Station is similar to Lou’s Kountry Kitchen.
“The Harlan Station is all new and the food is delicious,” said Farmer. “I’m looking forward to making lots of new memories here at the Harlan Station.”
