PECKS MILLS — Firefighters from Henlawson and Lake Fire Departments responded to an early morning accident that happened on Mill Creek Road around 2:40 a.m. Sunday.
The accident sent the driver of a late model pickup truck to a local hospital in an unknown condition. The driver reportedly lost control of his vehicle and struck two power poles that led to the loss of power for several hours in the area.
The vehicle also rammed into an occupied residence. The occupants were attended to by neighbors, but there were no reported injuries from the residence.
However, the force of the accident knocked the residence off its foundation. There is no word, at this time, on the cost of damages.
The accident is currently being investigated by the West Virginia State Police.
