MT. GAY — A two car accident in Mount Gay early Wednesday resulted in a huge mess but no injuries.
A Waste Management truck was reportedly stopped in Mt. Gay before the intersection located at Suddenlink Communications when it was t-boned by a small, red car. When emergency responders arrived to the scene, they said it looked like a pretty bad wreck. Luckily, one of the City of Logan Firefighters reported, no one sustained any major injuries in the wreck. However, one person was reportedly transported to a local hospital.
Traffic in Mt. Gay was blocked in both directions for close to an hour after the wreck.
The accident is under invesitgation by local law enforcement.
Only a couple hours later in downtown Logan, another minor wreck happened on Main Street blocking traffic for approximately 45 minutes. The wreck happened near Honaker Funeral Home.
Witnesses claim that a white car was trying to parallel park when a black SUV rear ended the car. It was unclear at the time who was at fault for the accident.
The driver of the SUV was taken to a local hospital because she was reportedly complaining with chest pains.
No other injuries were reported in this accident. The three passengers of the car, including a five day old baby, were all safe.
