Nearly 12 years ago, Samuel Corns and J.C. Motes began their golf adventure together under the instruction of local golf pro Ken Lacy in the Little Lacy’s summer golf camp at Logan Country Club.

Still together as best friends and teammates, the pair recently signed letters of intent to join the University of Northwestern Ohio Racers golf team.

During their four years of high school, Logan won four consecutive Logan County Championships and made it to the State High School Championship as a team in 2011.

In addition to their high school competition, both have been regular entries and tournament winners in the Top Flite and Callaway junior golf tours.

UNOH Golf coach Dave Kortokrax has high expectations that this dynamic duo will help his golf program advance to the next level.

Founded in 1920, UNOH is one of the fastest growing universities in Ohio.

Athletically nicknamed the Racers, the school is part of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA), primarily competing in the Woolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC).

Both players will be attending the college of applied technologies at the university.
