Volunteers have been busy during the recent clear autumn days preparing for the annual Christmas in the Park display at Chief Logan State Park. The annual display will open for its 20th season at dusk on Thurs., Nov. 28. According to organizer Tim Tomblin, there will be three new displays this year: a Statue of Liberty display, a train dubbed the Logan Express and another animated display. Pictured, volunteers Tim Tomblin, Allan McComas, Bill Waybright, Chuck Hamilton, Dana Rose, Sid Ellis and Thelma Ellis work on one of the area’s favorite displays, “Old Glory.”
