Editor,

In biblical days Emperor Nero frivolously fiddled while Rome burned. There is an old adage that history often repeats itself. Did anyone notice our president was golfing in California while Iraq burned?

It is beyond belief that any Commander in Chief would turn away from the crisis we have going on in the United States. With ISIS, the terrorist group, marching through Iraq, murdering, raping and looting our leader flies off for a weekend of golf is something to behold. His advisers continually say, “Well George Bush did the same thing.” If Bush did do the same thing years ago, and what he did was wrong, why would any setting President do the same thing today?

Also when the President advertises to the world that when children under the age of 18 walks across the border, they will be processed and turned loose, here, to stay. They will also be given, at a later date, allowances for: housing, food education, medical, Rx, phones, babysitting, transportation, etc. We have thousands of children in West Virginia that are far needier. This, “welcome to America”, invitation is being carried out on a daily basis along our southern border while our border guards change diapers and count children instead of policing the border.

With possibly the world’s best surveillance, how can all of these crises be surprises to the White House? With all of the new Czars reporting to the White House, it is puzzling as to what they are reporting on when there are so many plots against us that deserve serious attention. When will congress pull up their big boy britches and do whatever is necessary to stop this madness?

Lastly, the Gitmo Five do not need to rejoin the boots on the ground in those areas of the world to be a danger to us. They can simply set in their luxury hotels in Qatar and use their cell phones and pens. Who disagrees?
