Local libraries will be participating in summer reading programs this year to keep children of all ages interested in reading over the summer. Reading programs will be available at Bufflalo Creek Memorial Library, Logan Area Public Library and Chapmanville Public Library; the theme is “Fizz Boom Read.”

The libraries invite kids to come and “spark a reaction” to learn to read. The program will consist of a reading hour, crafts, games and lots of fun.

Although the theme is the same for all three libraries, the times and dates differ for each:

CPL reading program begins Mon., June 16 at 3 p.m. and will be held each Monday

Buffalo Creek reading program begins Tues., June 17 at 1 p.m. and will be held each Tuesday through July 29

LAPL reading program begins Tues., June 24 at 11 a.m. and will he held each Tuesday through July 29

There is no charge to attend these programs.

For more information, call Buffalo Creek at 304-583-7887, LAPL at 304-752-6652 or CPL at 304-855-3405.
