The theft of several items from a Hazard business was solved this week, and police say no charges will be filed.

Police began a search for a female who they say stole items outside Flowers by Olivia on East Main Street Wednesday night. Deputy Chief Joe Engle with the Hazard Police Department said the woman was driving the Subaru Impreza pictured here, and took items such as yard ornaments and shrubbery during the incident. He added it wasn’t the first time she had committed a theft at the business.

Engle said he was able to receive information on Thursday as to the perpetrator’s identity, and after making contact with her family the business owner has agreed to accept restitution in lieu of pressing criminal charges.
