CHAPMANVILLE — A Glasgow man has been charged with bringing drugs to Chapmanville.

On Oct. 11, West Virginia State Police obtained information that Stephen Ray Miller, 39, was traveling to the area with illegal drugs. Members of the U.S. 119 Drug Task Force observed Miller in the Hardee’s parking lot. Officers approached Miller and ask that he exit his vehicle.

While doing a pat down search, officers report that Miller began acting suspicious about a bag in his vehicle and began to reach for the item.

Officers ordered Miller to not touch the bag following he advised officers that the bag contained illegal drugs.

Following a verbal consent by Miller, officers searched the bag and fund a plastic bag containing marijuana and another bag containing Roxycontin pills.
