CHARLESTON — A celebration in honor of Christian Heritage Week will be held in the Capitol Rotunda in Charleston on Sat., Nov. 30.
Organizer of the event is Dan Hensley of Chapmanville
“I am going to call it ‘West Virginia Welcomes Everyone to a Historical Evening of Faith, Hope and Love,’” Hensley said.
Hensley said this will be the first religious in the Rotunda in this era.
“They have allowed us to have service that day in honor of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ,” Hensley said. “This will be the very first church service inside the state capitol in this era. I know after doing research that Thomas Jefferson used to have church at the nation’s Capitol.”
The event will begin at 2 p.m. and will feature singers The Perry Sisters, Heartcry, Larry Wilson and Chris Deskins and speaking will be Steven Duty, Shane Bryant, Chapmanville Mayor Jerry Price, Bill Runyon, Joey Kennedy, Jonny Slazo and Hensley.
