Around 2:15 on Thurs., May 8, Logan Emergency Ambulance Service Authority wasted no time responding to a possible hit and run at the Holland Lane intersection in downtown Logan.

Chris Nottingham, who witnessed the accident, claims that a man riding a motorcycle was attempting to drive through a green light at the intersection when a car coming from the opposite direction ran a red light and hit the motorcyclist.

“It threw him off the motorcycle, he did a somersault and took off running. He landed there,” Nottingham said, pointing to the plot of grass beside the Logan County Department of Motor Vehicles.

LEASA arrived on scene in under five minutes to assist the victim.

The victim’s name and condition have not been released, but there did not appear to be any major injuries.
