The Fountain Place Shooters are at it again.

Jere Dell Morrison II, 23, of Logan, and Crystal Dawn Fillinger, 30, of Henlawson, were arrested again on June 1 by the West Virginia State Police. Morrison for the charges of carrying a concealed deadly weapon, possession of less than 15 grams of marijuana, littering and no seat belt; Fillinger was arrested under the charges of possession, failure to obey stop sign, failure to obtain W.Va. license and no seatbelt.

On June 1, Senior Trooper B.A. Lowe, Senior Trooper S.A. Belt, Trooper M.A. Broadwater and Trooper Boothe initiated a traffic stop on a four door white Cadillac for failing to stop at the stop sign at the intersection of Enterprise Drive and WV 44.

Prior to the stop, the officers allegedly observed neither Morrison nor Fillinger wearing a seatbelt.

Upon initial approach, the officers recognized the Morrison and Fillinger as the accused in a recent wanton endangerment investigation.

According to a previous file by the WVSP, Fillinger was driving a car through the Lowe’s parking lot at approximately 12:57 p.m. when Morrison — who was a passenger in the car — reached out the window and fired several shots from a pistol.

At this point, the officers had the occupants exit the vehicle for officer safety reasons; en route, Morrison tossed a lit cigarette beside of the road.

Upon further investigation, the officers found a green, leafy substance believed to be marijuana inside the vehicle. While searching for more controlled substances, Trooper Broadwater located a machete that was over a foot long underneath the front passenger seat.

The officers also found that Fillinger, who had been driving, had failed to obtain a W.Va. license within the allotted time frame: 20 days.
