The Logan County Deputy Sheriffs’ Civil Service Commission has announced that a Civil Service Examination will be given for Deputy Sheriff’s positions on Fri., Aug. 29, 2014, at 5 p.m. The test will be held in Room 101 of the Logan County Courthouse (County Clerk’s Office).

Age limit is 18 to 45 years of age. Under West Virginia Code 30-29-5(f) persons that have dropped out of the State Police Academy Entry Level Training Program are not eligible to take this test as they cannot be employed as law enforcement officer until they have attended and completed the Academy Entry Level Training as a private citizen.

Applications for said test may be obtained at the Logan County Clerk’s Office and all applications must be completed and returned to the Clerk’s Office by Fri., Aug. 22, 2014 by 4 p.m.

Applications returned after said date and time will not be considered for this examination.
