MAN — On the heels of Friday’s highly anticipated season opening football game between Man High School and Logan High School, there was vandalism overnight Thursday at MHS.
During the act, someone overturned garbage bins, painted graffiti on the marquis sign at the school and the concession stand saying “LHS c/o 2015,” and objects were strewn across the football field.
Citizens and students did not seem surprised at the act, and many said similar happenings have occurred in the past. In fact, one person recalled that the MHS goat was once stolen and strung over the lights in Logan to just hang there. A few students from LHS did show their distaste for the incident.
There is currently no word on suspects although some have speculated that the perpetrators were adults rather than students.
The act served its purpose in that both teams walked onto the football field Friday night ready for a fight. The game between the two rivals was indeed worth the hype, going into overtime before it was finally completed. For more on the game, check inside for full coverage.
