Couple celebrates 65th anniversary
Roscoe and Rhoda Adkins of Peach Creek celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary on August 25, 2013. The couple was married August 25, 1948, in Pikeville, Ky., by Rev. Noah Hobbs.
Rhoda is the daughter of the late Elmer and Elizabeth Conn Baisden of Dingess and a 1947 graduate of Lenore High School.
Roscoe is the son of the late Hatton and Eva Samson Adkins of Harts. He is the former owner/operator of West Logan Remodeling.
They are the parents of Wilfred (Sharon) Adkins of Cleveland, Tenn., Diana (Bill) Bordea of Price, Utah, Regina McNeely of Peach Creek, Rocky (Donna) Adkins of Verdunville, Gregory (Trina) Adkins of Ceredo, Eugene (Kelly) Adkins of Logan and Dawn (Andrew) York of Milton.
Mr. and Mrs. Adkins are the proud grandparents of Christopher (Anita) Adkins and Jessica Adkins of Cleveland, Tenn., Elizabeth Bordea of Price, Utah, Cassandra (Todd) Layne of Ona, Bridgett (Matt) Ray of Mansfield Center, Conn., Kelli (Jeff) Kibbey of Shreveport, La., Shelli McNeely of Peach Creek, Ross Adkins and Katie Adkins of Verdunville, Brooklyn Adkins and Bryson Adkins of Ceredo, Ava Adkins of Logan and Abigail York of Milton. They are also proud great-grandparents to Emma, Isabel, Julia, Coralyn, Dmetri, Christian, Haylie and Brantley.
The couple has lived in Peach Creek since December 1960. They are both retired members of the Logan Regional Medical Center Auxiliary and active members of the West Logan Church of God.
