It has always been said, if one would read the Bible you would see yourself in it. All through the Bible we see answers to all of our problems. But, for some reason we wrestle against a problem that has been around for years. “Why does God permit the righteous to suffer? Why does the wicked prosper?” The answer to the first question is found in the book of Job.

There is a lesson that God wants all of us to learn, and it is found in the life of Job. As one reads about the life of Job, one would see that Job had a perfect relationship with God. He feared God and at the same time he hated evil. “…that there is one like him in the earth, a perfect and an upright man, one that feareth God and eschewed evil?” (Job 1:8).

Now let us look at this story of Job. As one starts to read the book of Job, we see there was a business meeting in heaven one day. “Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the Lord, and Satan came also among them” (Job 1:6). The sons of God and Satan came to this meeting. God asked Satan to make a report to Him. “And the Lord said unto Satan. Whence comest thou? Then Satan answered the Lord, and said, From going to and fro in the earth, and from walking up and down in it” (Job 1:7). Why was Satan there besides making a report to God. He came to accuse and to make false accusations against job. “Hast not thou made a hedge about him, and about his house, and about all that he hath on ever side? Thou hast blessed the work of his hands, and his substance is increased in the land. But put forth thine hand now, and touch all that he hath, and he will curse thee to thy face” (1:10-11).

The first thing one must remember about Satan is that he is a liar. Satan told God that the only reason Job loves Him (God) was because of what he could get from God. If you (God) would take that hedge away from Job then he would curse thee.

There are two important thing we need to look at.

The first one is, that Satan is not in hell but is going to and fro in the earth, and from walking up and down in it. A lot of people believe that Satan is in Hell. Hell is a place that is prepared for Satan and his fallen angels. But, Satan is going about as a roaring lion seeking whom he may devour

If there was ever a time when Satan’s roaring could be heard it is in our present day. Everywhere you turn, no matter what you read or what position you hold in life, Satan’s roaring is loud and convincing to the human heart. Even God’s people, who know the voice of God, can often be found cowering in fear at the intimidating roar of Satan.

Maybe right now you hearing the roaring in your own ears. When this article is over you will begin to see that Satan never quits roaring and that you hear him all the time, you just didn’t know it was him. I wonder how many of you have a roaring in your ear right now. There is a Professor who given so much money to study the roaring that people have in their ears for years. They don’t have to pay me to tell them it is the old roaring lion Satan.
