The Man High School volleyball team is off to a 3-0 start after winning three sets to none at Logan last Thursday.
The Lady Billies, coached by Orlando Washington, had won the Logan County Open last Wednesday after beating host Chapmanville 2-1 and the knocking off Logan 2-0.
Man, 19-11 last season, is scheduled to play at Tug Valley on Tuesday at 6 p.m. The Lady Billies are then set to play Sherman and host Greater Beckley Christian on Thursday in a 6 p.m. tri-match.
The Lady Billies have their home opener on Sept. 17 in a tri-match against Class AA teams Mingo Central and Wyoming East.
Logan (0-3), coached by second-year mentor Chelsey Stowers, hosted Mingo Central on Monday night. The Lady Cats then host Wyoming East on Tuesday at 5 p.m. before playing at the South Charleston Quad Match on Thursday. At SC, Logan is set to face off with Triple-A South Charleston, Riverside and St. Albans.
Chapmanville Regional’s netters are 1-1.
The Lady Tigers, led by first-year coach Johnny Williamson, host Poca on Tuesday at 6 p.m. The Lady Tigers then host Scott on Thursday and go to Sissonville on Sept. 17.
