The Mingo Central High School volleyball team won their match over Logan on Monday evening.
The Miners won by scores of 25-21, 25-21 and 25-19 and improved their record to 2-1 on the season.
Logan dropped to 0-4.
In the first set, Brandi Cisco had one service point, Hannah Church two points, Kiearia Hammond five points and Ashley Curry seven points for Mingo Central.
In the second set, Curry and Hammond each had one server point, Kristyn Johnson served six points and Cisco served seven points.
In the third game, Cisco, Curry and Church each served one point, Johnson served for four points and Hammond served seven points.
Logan’s statistics were not available.
The Lady Cats are scheduled to play Thursday at 6 p.m. in the South Charleston Quad Match. Logan is set to face off with the host Black Eagles, Riverside and St. Albans.
Logan is the set to play Saturday at the Mingo County Quad Match. LHS is scheduled to play host Miners, Tug Valley and Lincoln County. The matches begin at 10 a.m.
Logan doesn’t have another home match until Sept. 24 when the Sherman Tide come to town.
