CHAPMANVILLE — The Chapmanville Regional High School volleyball team ran its record to 3-1 on the season with Thursday night’s 3-0 win over rival Scott at Chapmanville’s Danny Godby Gymnasium.

The Lady Tigers swept the Skyhawks in three straight sets, winning 25-13, 25-22, 25-21.

“I thought we played well but we’re still learning,” Lady Tigers’ first-year coach Johnny Williamson said. “We are a young team. I’m still learning as a coach. I think senior Alex Baisden really stepped up tonight. We are 3-1 now for season.”

Chapmanville’s girls are scheduled to return to action on Tuesday night at home against Sissonville.

Match time is set for 6 p.m.
