The pink and black machine known as the Cheeriffic All-Stars are at it again.

The Logan-based youth cheerleading squad had a successful start to the season last weekend at the season-opening COA Holiday Kickoff Championships in Columbus, Ohio.

The Cheeriffic Junior Level 3 team took first place out of seven teams in its division and were crowned Grand Champions in Level 3. With the Grand Championship, the team received a paid bid to the U.S. Finals event May 3-4 in Virginia Beach, Va.

Cheeriffic’s Youth Level 2 team took third place out of seven teams in Columbus while the Mini 2 squad was second out of eight.

The Cheeriffic All-Stars, coached by Heather Bryant and Brittany Hartman, have won four overall national championships the last two years, taking crowns in the Tiny and Mini divisions in 2012 and two more titles at the Mini and Youth levels last season.

Cheeriffic was also awarded the Ultimate Tumbling Award in all divisions in Columbus.

The Mini Level 1 team also received a paid bid to the COA Ultimate National Championships.

Cheeriffic also won a UCA international championship last year in Orlando, Fla., topping teams from across the United States, Canada and abroad.

The Cheeriffic All-Stars have a busy season ahead and will be competing on foreign soil for the first time.

The highlight is in April when the cheerleaders are to compete in the Championship Cup Cruise in Nassau, Bahamas. The team will also make a stop in Freeport, Bahamas.

Cheeriffic’s next scheduled event is the America’s Best event in Gatlinburg, Tenn., on Dec. 7-8. The team is also slated to participate in events in Indianapolis, Ind., and Louisville, Ky., this season.
