The Man High School girls’ basketball team dropped to 3-7 on the season with Tuesday night’s 57-29 loss at Cross Lanes Christian.
Cross Lanes swept the season series with Man, also winning 64-30 on Dec. 9 at MHS in the season opener.
Man fell behind 14-8 after one quarter and was outscored 22-5 in the second to trail 36-13 at the half. Cross Lanes then led 47-21 after three. The Lady Billies were outscored 10-8 in the fourth quarter to set the final score.
Hunter Harvey led the Lady Billies with 12 points. Mika McCoy tossed in eight, while Hannah Harvey had five. Tiffany Belcher and Courtney Hinkle chipped in with two points each.
With the loss, Man’s two-game winning streak was snapped.
The Lady Billies are scheduled to get back into action on Thursday at Tug Valley. Tipoff is set for 6 p.m. Man then hosts Wyoming East on Jan. 20 and goes to Buffalo on Jan. 21.
Logan games flipped
Logan High School girls’ basketball coach Kevin Gertz said Thursday’s originally scheduled road game at Lincoln County has been switched to Logan due to the ongoing water crisis in Lincoln County and the surrounding Charleston area.
Logan will then play at Lincoln County on Feb. 12 in the second meeting.
