Former Chapmanville Regional High School, Harts High School and Marshall University softball player Andi Williamson shows off her new wheels recently in a photo taken in the Toyko, Japan area. Williamson arrived a few days ago in Japan where she will be playing professional softball for the Toda team, which is sponsored by the Japanese Toda Medical Group. Williamson is scheduled to play a full season of pro softball in Japan and then return to the United States in June where she will begin her second season with the Chicago Bandits pro softball team of the National Professional Fastpitch league. Last season, Williamson was the NPF Rookie of the Year and led the Bandits to the championship series with the USSSA Pride, from the Orlando, Fla., area. While in Japan, Williamson said she plans on keeping in touch with family, friends and fans via Facebook and Twitter. Some of the Japanese league games will also be streamed live on the internet, giving her fans a chance to watch her pitch.
