The Logan High School softball team remained unbeaten on the season, pushing its record to 5-0 with Wednesday night’s 13-2 win at Class AAA sectional foe Nitro.
The game was stopped after three innings due to the mercy rule.
Aarron Ward was the starting and winning pitcher for Logan. She went all three innings and allowed two runs and five hits with three strikeouts and no issued walks.
Ward also helped her cause at the plate as she was 3-for-3 with three doubles and four RBI.
Sam Curry was 2-for-3 with a two-run homer, while Hana Sedlock was 3-for-3.
Kiana Hill had a triple for the Lady Cats. Summer Collins, Hannah Kolovich, Taylor Napier and Shelby Hale all singled.
Logan was scheduled to host South Charleston on Thursday night. LHS then plays at the Chapmanville Lady Tigers Invitational this weekend.
On Friday, Logan is set to meet Nicholas County at 9 p.m. at Chapmanville. Then on Saturday at Chapmanville, LHS faces James Monroe at 5 p.m. and Sissonville at 9 p.m.
