CHAPMANVILLE — The Chapmanville Regional High School tennis team is off to a good start to the season.

The CRHS boys’ team upset Huntington St. Joe, 4-3, at the Chapmanville Regional High School tennis courts on Wednesday evening.

St. Joe is a state powerhouse and features a state champion from a year ago and several other state tourney representatives.

Chapmanville’s boys won two singles matches and two in doubles.

It was the second big win this week for the Chapmanville tennis program.

Earlier in the week the Chapmanville girls defeated six-time defending Class AA/A state champion Charleston Catholic.

Both CRHS tennis teams are scheduled to travel to Westside on Friday night. The first serve is slated for 4 p.m.
