MAN — The Man High School baseball team improved to 13-7 on the season with last Friday’s 3-1 win at home over Liberty-Raleigh.

Jake Adkins worked six strong innings and notched the win on the mound for the Hillbillies. He struck out seven.

Noah Maynard had a pair of hits for Man.

Dylan Keel had two hits for the Raiders.

Man scored all three of its runs in the bottom of the third inning. Liberty Raleigh plated its only run in the top of the sixth.

Both teams had five hits in the game.

The Raiders had one error while Man played an error-free game.

The Billies were scheduled to play at Westside on Monday. Man hosts River View on Tuesday at 6 p.m. MHS then goes to Chapmanville on Wednesday and hosts Logan on Thursday in a pair of games against county rivals. The regular season finale is May 9 at Charleston Catholic.
