Alberta loved to travel with her family and go to family reunions. She loved to sit on her back porch and have her family and friends around her. Her greatest joy was meeting and marrying the love of her life, Shorty Evans, and raising and loving her children. She said her greatest joy was being a stay at home mom and getting to be with her children as they grew up. She enjoyed cooking, canning and baking. She got up early on Sunday mornings so she could enjoy listening to Calvin Ray Evans Jr. preach on the television.
She had special people in her life that she considered her children and loved very much: Jerry Brown, Eva Browning, Coodie and Walter Pennington and Dave and Heather Vance.
The family would like to say a special thank you to Dr. Kiti, his nurse Sandy, Dr. Omar, and the staff on 4th floor of Logan Regional Medical Center for all the special care and attention they gave to their mother. Also, the family would like to say thank you to a special lady, their mother’s caregiver, Faye Lackey.
