CHAPMANVILLE, W.Va. — Mr. Armond Ray Meade, 69, of Chapmanville, departed this life Tuesday, June 2, 2009, at Trinity Healthcare Services at Henlawson.

Born September 3, 1939, at Chapmanville, he was a son of the late Roma and Ethel Franklin Meade. Also preceding him in death were three brothers, Harold Meade, Dallas Meade and Norris Meade.

Armond was a veteran of the Air Force, Navy and the National Guard. He attended The Church of Christ, was a member of the American Legion Post 103, and worked for CSX Railroad.

Those he left to cherish his memory include five brothers, Dawnevyn (June) Meade, Keith Drexel (Joan) Meade, Linden (Patty) Meade, Jerry Meade and Roger Meade, and one aunt, Eva Conley, all of Chapmanville, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Graveside services with Military Graveside Rites will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, June 5, at the Franklin Cemetery at Branchland with Minister Keith Drexel Meade officiating.

Pallbearers will be family members and friends.

Freeman Funeral Home of Chapmanville is in charge of the arrangements.
