CHAPMANVILLE — The Chapmanville Apple Butter Festival will be held September 28-29 at the Chapmanville Municipal Building.
Reigning over the event will be the new 2012 Miss Apple Butter Queen who will be selected among applicants Fri., Sept. 14, and Sat., Sept. 15, at the Chapmanville Municipal Building at 6:30 p.m.
Applications for the queen title, along with the queen’s court, are still being taken for the Chapmanville Apple Butter Festival Pageant.
Photos must be turned in with the applications and entry fee for each contestant. Photos can be no smaller than a 5x7 print.
Contestants for the Mrs. Apple Butter (married 18 years and up), Ms. Apple Butter (not married 22 years and up), Miss Apple Butter (16 to 21 years of age), and Jr. Miss Apple Butter (13- 15 years) will compete Friday, September 14th.
Petite Miss Apple Butter (8-12 years), Little Miss (5-7 years), Little Prince (2-4 years), Little Princess (2-4 years), Wee Mister (06-24 months), and Wee Miss (06-24 months) will compete Saturday, September 15th.
Each category will have a first and second runner up. Each category will have winners for prettiest hair, prettiest eyes, prettiest smile, and the most photogenic.
The hostess for the pageant, Miss Logan County 2008, Laura Hatfield will be crowning the new Apple Butter Festival Pageant queen. The new queen will then crown the winners of the pageant on September 15th and will reign over the festival September 28-29 at the Chapmanville Municipal Building.
