Arms in new Man Hall of Fame Class of

MAN n Current Man High School football coach Harvey Arms will be enshrined into the Man Hall of Fame's Class of 2007 during Man's Hall of Fame Weekend, Sept. 20-21.

Arms, a 1968 graduate of Man High School, led the Hillbillies to back-to-back Class A playoff appearances in 2004 and 2005.

He was also the former Man High School boys' basketball coach, leading the Billies to state tourney berths in 1998 and 2005.

Also chosen for Man's Hall of Fame Class of 2007 were: Don Mullins (Class of 1958), Earl Epperhart (Class of 1950), Ron Brown (Class of 1969), Paul Maynard (Class of 1976), Rick Grimmett (Class of 1981), Buddy Hager (Class of 1991) and Coach J. Richard Barber.

There will also be a Man High School Hall of Fame golf outing at the Twisted Gun Golf Course at Wharncliffe in Mingo County and a banquet at the Man Memorial Fieldhouse. During halftime of the Man football game on Sept. 21 with South Gallia (Ohio) the new Hall of Fame class will be inducted to the crowd.

The golf outing is scheduled to begin at 11 a.m. on Sept. 20. It will consist of four-man teams, played in a scramble format.

There will be a “Meet and Greet” at the Man Memorial Fieldhouse from 6-7 p.m., with the banquet beginning at 7 p.m. on Sept. 20.

The inductees will be enshrined at the banquet.
