HUNTINGTON, W.Va. — Bernie Thompson, 71, of Huntington, passed away Thursday, August 2, 2012, at home.
Born December 15, 1940, in Logan, he was a son of the late Bernie Hughes and Gertrude Walters Thompson. Also preceding him in death were three brothers, Manely Thompson, Wendell Thompson and Chester Thompson.
Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Marcella Browning Thompson; three sons Bernie, III (Cheryl) Thompson, Arvin (Kimberly) Thompson and Titus Thompson, all of Huntington; two sisters, Barbara (Curtiss) Workman and Linda (Larry) Norman, both of Logan; one brother, Randall (Kay) Thompson of Columbus, Ohio; seven grandchildren; four nephews and eight nieces. A visitation was held from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday, August 4, at Hall Funeral Home.
