HARTS, W.Va. — Mrs. Betty Jo Kitchen Mullins, 77, of Henderson Branch of Harts, was born December 31, 1934, at Mt. Gay, a daughter of the late Eugene and Cynthia Rose Thompson Kitchen. She departed this life Sunday, March 25, 2012, at St. Mary’s Medical Center in Huntington.

Also preceding her in death was her husband, Freelin J. Mullins on June 9, 2003; grandson, Randall Travis Mullins; daughter, Kathy Jean Mullins Vance; granddaughter, Shawna Ann Vance; sister, Judy Dankowski, and brother, Donald Ray Kitchen.

Mrs. Mullins was a housewife, a lovely mother and a member for more than 30 years of the Elmwood United Baptist Church.

Survivors include, her daughter, Earsie Mulins of Henderson Branch; four sons, Michael Lee (Barbara) Mullins, Freelin Randall (Samantha) Mullins and Jesse Ray (Debbie) Mullins, all of Henderson Branch, and Lige Edward (Marie) Mullins of Trace Creek of Harts; one brother; one sister; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren and one special sister, Debbie Mullins.

Services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 29, at the Evans Funeral Home and Cremation Services with Elders Warnie Meeks, Dolphus Perry, Charlie Paulson and Junior Williamson officiating. Burial will follow in the Sheppard Cemetery at Little Harts.

Her grandsons will serve as pallbearers.

Visitation will be from 6-9 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Evans Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Chapmanville is in charge of the arrangements.
