WASHINGTON, D.C. — U.S. Senator Joe Manchin (D-W.Va.) has announced Michael Browning as the new regional coordinator for Boone, Lincoln, Logan, McDowell, Mingo, Wayne and Wyoming counties.

“I am pleased to have Michael on this team,” Senator Manchin said. “I have known Mike for many years and he is a bright, dedicated young man who is truly a hard worker. He cares deeply about our state and its people, and I am confident that he will do a great job for the people of southern West Virginia.”

Mr. Browning, a Delbarton native who now lives in Boone County, officially joined Senator Manchin’s Charleston staff earlier this month after working for nearly 12 years as the editor of The Logan Banner.

“I’m honored to join Senator Manchin’s team,” Browning said. “I’ve long admired Senator Manchin’s leadership and dedication to our great state and its citizens. Senator Manchin is a trusted public servant, and I am privileged to represent him in southern West Virginia.”

Mr. Browning is a graduate of Matewan High School and Southern West Virginia Community College. He served as executive editor over The Logan Banner, Williamson Daily News, Coal Valley News, Gilbert Times and Pineville Independent Herald. Currently, he resides in Danville with his wife, Shauna.
