WEST LOGAN, W.Va. n Charles Raymond Lilly, 78, of West Logan, departed this life Sunday, June 24, 2007, in Logan Regional Medical Center.
Born April 9, 1929, in Logan, he was a son of the late Frank and Edna Lilly. Also preceding him in death was two children, Susan Elaine Lilly and Charles Franklin Lilly, and one brother, John Lilly.
Mr. Lilly was a member of the West Logan Missionary Baptist Church where he proudly served as a deacon.
Survivors include his loving wife of 52 years, Frances Vance Lilly; one daughter, Kathy (Tom) Ooten of Monaville; one brother, Frank (Patricia) Lilly of Louisa, Ky.; five sisters, Marie Caudill and Beatrice Taylor, both of Louisa, Madeline Banks of North Carolina, Janie Shurbet of Texas, and Ellie Hite of Michigan; a host of nieces, nephews, friends, and his wonderful church family.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 28, at the West Logan Missionary Baptist Church with Pastor Bob Morris officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery at Pecks Mill.
Pallbearers will be Tom Ooten, Greg Adams, Ezekiel Durham, and members of the Men’s Bible Class.
Honorary pallbearer will be Bud Walls.
Visitation will be from 6-9 p.m. Wednesday at the Honaker Funeral Home in Logan and one hour prior to services Thursday at the church.
Charles will be sadly missed.
