CRHS to host tourney at new softball field

CHAPMANVILLE – The Chapmanville Regional High School softball team will get to showcase its new softball field this weekend.

CRHS is scheduled to host the annual Lady Tigers Invitational this Friday and Saturday.

County rivals Logan and Man are also in the field.

In the tournament, Chapmanville is slated to play Tolsia at 5:30 p.m. and Riverside at 7 p.m. on Friday at the new field.

On Saturday at 3 p.m., the Lady Tigers are set to square off with Wyoming East at the new field.

On the ASA diamond next to Tiger Stadium, Poca plays Riverside at 5:30 p.m. and then takes on Tolsia at 7 p.m. on Friday night.

On Saturday, Logan takes on Riverside at noon at the new field and then plays Poca at 1:30 p.m. at the old field.

In other tourney games on the new Chapmanville diamond, Sherman battles with Point Pleasant at 1:30 p.m., and Man takes on Tolsia at 4:30 p.m.

Also on Saturday in the tourney, Sherman plays Wyoming East at noon and Man squares off with Point Pleasant at 3 p.m. at the old field.
