Chief Logan Hunting and Fishing Expo

CHIEF LOGAN STATE PARK — The Chief Logan Hunting and Fishing Expo opened Saturday morning at the Chief Logan Lodge and Convention Center with a steady stream of visitors.

A variety of booths from hunting and fishing supplies to jewelry to books can be found this year at the Hunting and Fishing Expo.

The Expo will continue today from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Admission is $5 for adults and children age 6 and older.

Events available all day include the Wall of Shame Display, Trout Pond (Children’s Activity), Hawg Trough, Paul Noechel (Fishing techniques), Rifle Public Shooting with Rick McAllister, Dizzy Doc’s Scuplted Air, WV Bow Hunters Association Archery, Hunting Simulator (Laser Shot Trailer), Germ City sponsored by the WVU Extension Agency, WV Raptors, Youth Challenge and Coalfield Archery Club Tournament.

Today’s Expo schedule is:

10 a.m.-4 p.m.: WV Bowhunter’s Association Archery

10 a.m.-4 p.m.: Youth Challenge

10-11 a.m.: Chris Walls, Turkey Calling

10 a.m.-4 p.m.: Hunter’s Safety Course (Part 2) with Chris Dunlap Hatfield-McCoy Room)

11 a.m.-12 p.m.: Mike Book and Thunder the Eagle

12-12:30 p.m.: Bruce Ingram: How to Be a Successful WV Mountain Turkey Hunter

12:30-1:30 p.m.: Frank Addington, Jr. “The Aspirin Buster”

1:30-2 p.m.: Bruce Ingram: Fishing Tactics

2-3 p.m.: Mike Book-and Thunder the Eagle

3-4 p.m.: Frank Addington Jr. “The Aspirin Buster

4 p.m.: Prize Drawings for Youth Challenge
