If you are a member or supporter of the Coalfield Youth Soccer League there’s a lot to be excited about.
Another successful spring season is coming to a close in early June.
Work is almost complete on the new soccer field on Sawmill Road in Chapmanville.
And later next month, the league will be hosting a soccer camp.
The Coalfield Youth Soccer League will host its soccer camp — the Challenger Sports British Soccer Camp — in Chapmanville June 18-22.
British Soccer Camps provide players of all ages and abilities the opportunity to receive high-level soccer coaching from a team of international experts.
Each day includes individual foot skills, technical drills, tactical practices, small-sided games, coached scrimmages and a daily tournament.
Equally important, the Challenger coaching staff provides players with lessons in respect, responsibility, integrity, sportsmanship and leadership.
The camp is open to everyone ages 3-16 and will be divided into three different categories.
The Mini Soccer division will run daily from 9-10 a.m. for ages 3-5. The cost is $90.
The Half Day division, for ages 6-9, will run 9 a.m. to noon each day. The cost is $112.
There will also be another Half Day division for youth ages 10-16 from 1-4 p.m. each day. The cost is also $112.
The Coalfield Youth Soccer League has a spring and fall season.
Work is nearly done on the new soccer field near the Town of Chapmanville and, tentatively, that will also be the location of the soccer camp.
