CYCLONE, W.Va. — Delana Jean Boothe, 34, of Cyclone, departed this life Thursday, July 26, 2012, at Logan Regional Medical Center.

Born December 30, 1978, at Logan, she was a daughter of Gary Boothe of Cyclone and Dewanna Lusk Bailey and her husband, Darrell Bailey, of Cyclone.

Preceding her in death was her paternal grandfather, Joseph Boothe; her step-grandmother, Zelphia Workman Marcus; one uncle, Ronnie Boothe, and two cousins, Ronnie Joe Boothe and Vaunda Pearl Harvey.

Delana was a 1997 graduate of Oceana High School where she was valedictorian. Delana was a registered nurse who graduated from Bluefield State College in 2001. An animal lover, she enjoyed taking care of horses and especially loved spending time with her dog, Abby.

Those left to cherish her memory, in addition to her parents, include one sister, Lavaunda (Coby) Toler of Cyclone; one niece, Hannah Toler and one nephew, Cody Toler, both of Cyclone; paternal grandmother, Vaunda Lusk Boothe of Cyclone; maternal grandparents, Rev. Kennis and Imogene Lusk of Cyclone; her step-grandfather, Marshall Bailey of Richie County; one step-brother, Jimmy (Becky) Workman of Brandywine; three step-sisters, Vickie Osborne (companion, Harvey Osborne) of Cyclone, Angela Valesquez of Brenton, and Lenora (Kevin) McKinney of Oceana; aunts and uncles, Donna Harvey of Knoxville, Tenn., Lonnie (Margie) Boothe, Willie (Rhonda) Boothe and Scotty (Delinda) Boothe, all of Cyclone; step-aunts, Carolyn, Linda, and Barbara, and a host of other relatives and friends.

Services will be held at noon Tuesday, July 31, at the Cyclone Church of God with Rev. Emma White officiating. Burial will follow in Brown Cemetery at Main Huff at Cyclone.

Visitation will be from 6-9 p.m. Monday and one hour prior to services Tuesday at the church.

Pallbearers will be family and friends.
