First Baptist hosts Mother’s Day Dinner

On Saturday, May 12, 2012, starting at 5:30 pm, the Mother’s Day Dinner was held in the fellowship hall of the First Baptist Church of Logan. The dinner was catered by Granny Jacks.

Tim Barnhouse, Pastor, first read a poem entitled “You Know You’re A Mom When—-.” Then he gave the blessing before the dinner, which consisted of ham, chicken and dumplings, mashed potatoes, green beans, broccoli casserole, garden salad, rolls, assorted desserts and assorted beverages.

Barnhouse then gave an award to the “Mother of the Year to Peggy Weaver.

Those in attendance were Pastor Tim and Tabatha Barnhouse, Peggy and Larry Weaver, Rose Nary Ellis, Rose Marie Stone,Wilma Avis, Ama Flowers, Helen Kosher, Betty Earles, Jo Ann Kirkendoll, John and Becky Reed, Ray, Jennifer and Brittany Parsons, Suzy and Angel Hirosky, Charlie and Rowena Hicks, Linda Ball, Linda Mendez, Helen Conley, Grover Morrison, Evan Barnhouse, Isaac Barnhouse, Tommy and Peggy Slater, Marie Ward, Yantie Ward and her three grandchildren Robert, Charles, and Benjamin, Barbara Barker, Melanie McDaniel and Braydon, Bob, Melissa, Emma Rose and Cody Slater-Copley.
